Yes. We have our own modern, clean equipment consisting of high-cube 53’ dry vans and a premium fleet of late model tractors. Forbes-Hewlett follows a stringent and proactive maintenance schedule and replaces equipment on a regular basis so that our equipment is road-worth for the long haul.

Toronto/Chicago is our highest volume lane. In addition to overnight Truckload service, we offer competitive and easy to calculate per skid pricing.

We also utilize our extensive fleet resources to haul Truckload and LTL freight between the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and U.S. cities primarily within the 500 to 1000 miles radius.

No. At this time we do not offer team service.

We proactively provide shipment tracking information. You can find out the progress of your freight through our automatic email notifications which let you know when your shipments have been picked up and delivered. You may also email us at: tracking@fhtp.com and we’ll respond to your inquiries quickly.

Yes. EDI is becoming a “must have” requirement with our volume shippers. We work closely with select clients to bring them fully into the communication loop through EDI. We are able to send and receive information such as shipment orders, status updates and trailer manifests. It is transmitted quickly and accurately, which creates more timely shipment data and reporting to better manage your supply chain.

Yes. We believe in keeping our borders safe and secure by participating in the following programs:

  • C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)
  • FAST (Free and Secure Trade)
  • PIP (Partners in Protection)
  • CSA (Customs Self-Assessment)

When arranging for a pick-up, 48 hour notice is usually recommended. This helps ensure timely service. If you require a same day pick-up, please make sure to contact us early in the morning.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday between 8am to 5pm. Our dispatch centre is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 9pm and extended weekend hours.
